I'm 39 and I don't have a stable career, and I haven't achieved any kind of milestones so that I could look back and say I'm proud of it. But I believe it's not just me. There are a lot of people who are in this situation right now. But I'm not here to express my regret. I'm not here to act like a victim. And I'm not here to discourage someone. Everyone is different. Everyone has a unique story. Not everyone becomes successful in their career. There are billions of people in the world, and not everyone achieves their dream job. Not everyone ends up owning their dream business. And that's the reality of life. But the way most of us think is we have failed in life if we haven't achieved our dream job or the dream business. But as I told you earlier, not everyone ends up achieving their dream job or dream business, and that's the reality, and that should be okay. But we don't realize that there are billions of people looking for the same thing, trying to achieve the same thing. So some people achieve their goals, and some people don't. And that's okay.
As I told you earlier, I'm not here to discourage you. I'm not saying you should not try. You should try, and trying itself should be enough. You should feel proud of yourself for trying. Some people don't even try. So if you have tried and failed, you're great. You're good enough. But a lot of us don't realize this, and we just start regretting. A lot of people go into a deep state of regret, and that makes their life miserable.
As I said at the very beginning, I'm already 39. After a few months, I'm going to be 40, and still I don't have a stable career. I don't have a stable income. I haven't done anything that I'm proud of. I'm not saying that's great. That's okay. That's okay because I tried. I have tried. I've tried a lot of things, but they didn't work. People of my age have achieved a lot. And it's not just about random people. My friends of my age have achieved something. They have a stable job with stable income. They have bought houses. They have been able to do a lot for their family. But I'm here writing this article because I haven't achieved anything. But the thing is, I don't compare myself to them. They have their own story. I have my own story. What I have been through is not what they have been through. They have their own struggle and I have mine.
So it shouldn't make sense if you're comparing yourself to someone else. Comparison is one of the reasons why people end up becoming unhappy and really very unhappy. Even the people who have achieved a lot are not happy because they compare themselves to their friends or maybe their rivals or someone else. And if you want to be happy, you should stop comparing yourself to others. And that's what I'm doing right now. I'm a failure. But I know I want to be happy. I want to stay happy. And to stay happy, I should stop thinking about what I could have done. I could have done a lot, but I didn't. But still, I need to be happy.
So, this article is kind of a reminder to you that your happiness matters and it's about mental health. A lot of people lose their mental health because they don't realize that what they're looking for is happiness - their mental stability. You're chasing money, you're chasing jobs, you're chasing business - for what? If you realize, yes, it is happiness. You just want to be happy. What you're looking for is the state of mind where you feel happy, where you feel joyful. That's what you should realize. I'm happy that I realized it, and I'm trying my best to stay healthy and happy. And through this article, I want to tell you that if you are at the stage of your life where you feel like you're a failure, you haven't achieved anything, and you look ahead and you don't see any direction, just pause and remind yourself that you matter, your mental health matters, and that's what's really important for you right now.
So, if you haven't achieved your dream job, your dream business, and if you're still struggling to figure out what you're going to do with your future, it's normal. It's normal to think like that. Just realize that it's normal and just come back to yourself, your mind, your mental health, your mental state. Just tell yourself that it's okay. Don't stop trying. Keep trying. But at the same time realize the truth or realize the fact that you are trying your best and that's what matters. It doesn't matter if you reach the goal. Not everyone achieves the goal and it's okay. And this article is also a kind of reminder to myself that even if I keep regretting about what I could have done or what I didn't do or anything about my past, that's not going to help me. It's not going to help me to go ahead into my future. That's not going to help. Instead, that's going to ruin my future. And yeah, I'm just hoping everything's going to be fine. Maybe I'm a late bloomer. I just found that term "late bloomer" - people who succeed in their career after 40 or sometimes after 50, or 50 plus. That could be the case. So just stay positive and don't regret. Just stay positive.
